Yesterday was a bbq type event at the US Embassy residence to celebrate the 4th of July (a little early) with live music, a parade and, after you'd paid your entry fee, free beer. Shame it was American beer! I always forget how unashamedly proud American's are to be American - I find it simultaneously refreshing and too much to handle.
