Ochanomizu has a wealth of ski and snowboard shops, and closer to the JR station a wealth of guitar, violin, piano and other musical instrument shops. Where there be instruments there also be records shops. This craazy display outside a basement shop to entice customers in confused the hell out of me!

Wow, the perspective on this shot really messes with your eyes. Is the whole thing on a flat surface, or are some of the posters stuck to a pane of glass in front of the yellow and blue "wall"? Effective advertising though, you can't help but stare!

You are closer with the second guess - almost all the smaller adverts are sticking out at various angles from the yellow and blue "wall". They actually have adverts on both sides and flutter in the wind. Another eye catching mechanism!
