Yesterday was of course Chinese new year (happy new year!) and a few of us took a train to Yokohama which has one of the largest China towns in the world. There was a parade with several dragons and lots of firecrackers being let off. It was extrordinarily busy (as to be expected with anything in Japan) and the throngs of crowds jostled for a position so they could catch a glimpse of the parade. It was very reminiscent of a mosh pit and certainly added a bizarre twist to photography!
