There was between 6cm and 10cm of snow in Tokyo yesterday depending on who you believe, and also which area of Tokyo you were in. It started snowing during the night and continued right through until late afternoon. I visited Ochanomizu which has a very high concentration of winter sports shops and outside each of them they had built very impressive snow sculptures. There was a panda, a snowman inside a shrine, a large snail and several other fantasitc creations.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of them as (a) it was heavily snowing and I was cold and (b) I don't have a non-zoom lens since I dropped my camera and I broke it!
Still these flowers seemed to be enjoying themselves under their snowy blanket. It makes them more vivid when everything around them is covered in bright white snow.
