The following day at the shrine in Asakusa was just as busy despite the rain. As always the Japanese are serious about their events and are not afraid of a sea of umbrellas. The trouble with being well above average height for this country is I have to be a little wary of eye and face height umbrella spokes.
It's still impressive to watch (from a safe vantage point!) as the unbroken multitude of coloured patches bobs and weaves their way towards you.
