New Year Approach

New Year Approach

On the approach to the main shrine the crowds were a little thinner. I'm assuming this area was also swarming with people earlier in the day though. You can make out the light from a giant tv screen at the end of this stretch of path, put in place to keep the waiting throngs amused.
