Zen Garden

Zen Garden

This is one of 15 various size stones laid out in a dry garden in the temple Nanzen-ji in northern Kyoto. It is one of the most famous zen gardens as it epitomises the art form. It is very calming to sit and contemplate the garden esepcially if you manage to arrive early in the morning before most of the tourists like we did.
