The first pick of my photos from Japan. This butterfly was posing for me in the East Imperial Gardens in Tokyo.
Very pretty! No hint of blurred due to unsteady hand... was it very bright to give short exposure?
It was early afternoon, the sun high in the sky removing the need for a completely steady hand. I was also particularly close to the little butterfly which probably helped as well.
What kinda camera you using Pandy?
I really like your photos. Domo arigato for posting them.....I need to buy a new digital camera (mine is bust) and then I'll try to get some inspiration from your stuff and post some cool pics of California.
Arigato gozaimasu for your kind words MagicSheep. I am currently strecthing the limits of a Canon Ixus 500, which I think in the States is called a Cannon Powershot S500 (or "elph")

Now I've found my feet photography wise I'd really like something with more control over the shutter, apperture and exposure settings, but on the other hand this little puppy is small enough for me not to mind carrying around so I actually do take photos!
I look forward to seeing the fruits of your purchase.
