the Land of Bob

This weekend was the Berlin Marathon and although I wasn't running or skating I was still there to cheer on those who were. There were around 28,000 runners on the Sunday enduring the 26 miles of wet and slippery roads, and the day before saw around 6,00 inline skaters speed round a very similar course in about half the time!

On the Sunday, starting before the runners were released were two other categories of racers. Firstly the wheelchair category and secondly these strange contraptions called hand bikes. I hadn't seen a hand bike but they certainly looked like a lot of fun!
