We ran something a bit different to my usual 'down to Greenwich' or 'along the river' routes for yesterday's 12 mile outing.
I have now been introduced to the quiet pleasure of Regent's Canal. We started at Limehouse basin on this map and ran up to Angel at which point we snaked our way back towards the river past St. Pauls and ending up at Blackfriars bridge.
It was a great route as it is only people on their barges, other runners, cyclists and walkers that are around. The surrounding buildings on either side of the canal make it very sheltered to the typical London noise of traffic, so it almost felt like we were running in the middle of the country.
